High School

2009 graduate of Wichita Collegiate High School in Wichita, Kansas. While in high school, she played basketball for four years, track and field for four years, and volleyball for two years at the varsity level. She was a team captain of her basketball team for three years and for the track and field team for four years. Her senior season she was Honorable Mention All Conference for basketball. In the senior year, her team finished second in state at the 3A State Basketball Tournament. During the 2007-08 season her basketball team finished third at the 3A State Basketball Tournament. She also finished seventh at the state track meet in 2006.

While in high school, she was on the Honor Roll for all four years. She was also a member of band and the Madrigals.

Personal

Her major is elementary education. She is the daughter of Joyce and Michael Maurer; her dad played baseball at Newman University. She has one older brother Anthony, 30. Her hobbies include rapping, singing, and taking pictures. Her favorite movie is Titanic and her favorite food is pasta salad.
