Adam Neisius

Neisus is entering his 19th season in College Baseball, 16 of those as head coach. Under Coach Neisius, thirteen players have moved on to play professionally, including the Oakland A's 2006 13th round draft pick, Ben Jukich.

Neisius came to the Falcons from the University of Nebraska at Kearney where he was assistant head baseball coach for two years. As an assistant, Neisius was responsible for offensive and defensive aspects along with recruiting.

Prior to University of Nebraska at Kearney, Neisius spent 10 seasons from 1998 - 2008 as head baseball coach at Dakota Wesleyan University. During his 10 year stint, Neisius led his team to two regular season titles in 2002 and 2005 and two consecutive conference tournament titles in 2004 -2005 in the Great Plains Athletic Conference. In 2005, he was named NAIA Region IV Coach of the Year and GPAC Coach of the Year. Neisius is currently the winningest coach at DWU compiling a record of 263-202 overall.

As a player, Neisius began his collegiate career at Mesa State College where he competed for two years before transferring to Dakota Wesleyan University where he finished his collegiate career. Neisius then spent two years in the Texas-Louisiana Professional Baseball League with the Lubbock Crickets.

Neisius holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Behavioral Sciences from Dakota Wesleyan University and a Master of Arts in Physical Education/Sports Administration with an emphasis in coaching administration from University of Northern Colorado.

Zach Biery
Assistant Coach- 4th Season
Alma Mater: Newman University

Zach Biery begins his 3rd season at Friends University as a pitching coach.

Biery pitched at Hutchinson Community College and Newman University, serving as a student assistant for the Jets as well in 2012.

In 2013, Biery was the head junior varsity coach at Valley Center High School. The following season he went to Circle High School as the assistant varsity coach. Biery has been the head coach for the Wichita Reds Summer Academy for the last two years. He also has been the pitching coach for the El Dorado Broncos in the Jayhawk Collegiate League.

Biery lives in Wichita with his wife, Nicole, and their 2 year old son, Trygg.

Aaron Malone
Assistant Coach- 4th Season
Alma Mater: Friends University

Aaron Molone enters his 3rd year as an assistant for the Friends University baseball team after spending the two previous seasons on the field for the Falcons.

Malone, a Wichita native and graduate of Wichita East High School spent his first two collegiate seasons playing middle infield and 3rd base at Butler County Community College before coming to Friends in 2012. While with the Falcons, he was a two-time KCAC Gold Glove winner at shortstop.

Mark Carvalho
Assistant Coach- 2nd Season

Coach Mark “Carv” Carvalho joins the Friends University Baseball coaching staff this spring, but he is not a stranger to Falcon Baseball or the KCAC Conference. He started out his coaching career as an assistant for Friends University in 1986 until 1990, where is served as pitching coach, hitting and defense coach. After coaching some top summer baseball teams he became the Falcon's head coach in 1997 until 2006

Carvalho's record at Friends was 234-169 overall, and he was part of five championship teams as an assistant and head coach. His best season was in 2004 when the Falcons won the KCAC Championship with a 38-14 record.

He was associate head coach and hitting coach at Bethany College during the 2007 season where the Swedes won the KCAC Championship and led the nation with a .382 batting average.

Coach Carv moved on to Kansas Wesleyan University and in five seasons was 150-112 with three KCAC Championships. His 2011 Coyote team won the both the KCAC Regular Season and Tournament while going 37-17.

Carvalho has coached five Team USA teams that have gone overseas and has been the GM of several NBC summer baseball teams, most notably the Newton Rebels in the Sunflower Collegiate Baseball League.

As a player, Carvalho excelled for the Arkansas City Bulldogs (Kan.) where he played third base and pitched. He continued on to Cowley County Community College where he was a two-year starter and captain. He received his Associated of Arts degree in Journalism.

He moved on the Wichita State University where unfortunately his playing career was cut short with a series of injuries. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech-Radio/TV/Film, with minors in psychology and journalism. He earned his MBA degree in Sports/Marketing Administration.

A native of Arkansas City, he is married to the former Teresa O’Leary and they have three children Chelsea, Emily and Leslie.

Steve Fisher
Assistant Coach- 2nd Season
Alma Mater: Friends University

Steve Fisher begins his first season as an assistant coach for the Falcon Baseball team after spending two seasons at shortstop for the Falcons.

Fisher played in 68 games for Friends, hitting .272 (56-206) with 13 doubles, five triples and two home runs. He scored 30 runs and drove in 37.
