RaeAnne Boothe
Head Coach- 3rd Season

RaeAnne Boothe is in her third season as the Head Women's Basketball Coach at Friends University. In her first season (2010-2011) the Lady Falcons finished with a 16-13 overall record and a fourth place finish in the KCAC with a record of 9-9. Last season (2011-2012), the Lady Falcons improved to a 24-10 overall record. They finished first in the KCAC with a record of 16-2. With the crowning of the regular season champions, the Lady Falcons also earned the automatic bid to the National Tournament and defeated the College of Idaho to advance to the Sweet 16. The 2011-2012 season was a milestone in Women's Basketball, as no other team had ever advanced to the Sweet 16. Prior to coaching at Friends University, Coach Boothe was the Assistant Coach for four years at Brenau University (NAIA 1) near Atlanta, GA.

Coach Rae's teams believe that they are about much more than just winning. "We want to do things the right way and together, as a family. We strive to create an atmosphere that will hopefully allow this team to possess characteristics very similar to those of a family. We believe that we have great people on this team that genuinely care about each other and come to work hard and get better every day. Every family is a work in progress, as is ours, and with challenges that will arise throughout the season we look forward to using those to help us become a stronger and more united family."

With a tough non-conference schedule the Lady Falcons hope to be able to evaluate where they are early enough to hopefully improve areas before they begin conference play. The Lady Falcons open conference play at Southwestern College. The Builders finished right behind the Falcons last season with a 2nd place finish. Of the Falcons 10 non-conference opponents, 3 are pre-season ranked in the top 15 and 5 are NAIA D1 teams.

In the two seasons at Friends University Coach Rae has had 2 All-Americans, 5 All-Conference players and in 2012 she received Co-Coach of the Year. Coach Boothe holds a Bachelor's degree in Education and a Master's in Organizational Leadership.
