Cole Davis
Head Coach- 7th Season

Cole Davis is entering his 7th season as the Head Coach of the Friends University Women’s Track and Field Team. Davis is in charge of recruiting and coaching the athletes in the event specialties of – Sprints/Jumps/Hurdles & the Combined Events.

During his time in Wichita, Davis has mentored over 130 KCAC Champions, qualified over 60 different athletes for the NAIA National Championships and developed 63 school record holders. As a team since his arrival in 2011, the Falcon women have not placed lower than 3rd in the Conference at any KCAC Championship Track Meet and they have won 9 Conference Titles in 12 possible tries. The women finished the 2017 season with a team GPA of 3.56 and finished the Indoor National meet in 10th place - the highest finish in program history. The Falcon women enter the 2018 Indoor season with aspirations of bringing home their 4th straight Indoor Conference Title and finishing Top 4 at the Indoor National Meet in early March.

Before arriving at Friends University, Davis spent time as an assistant coach at both Pratt Community College and Pratt High School where he developed multiple state champions and national qualifiers during his short stay. Davis is a graduate of NCAA Division II Emporia State University where he competed in the Decathlon. He attained a Master’s Degree in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation with an emphasis in Coaching in 2014 and also completed his USA Track and Field Level 1 Coaching Certificate and recieved a Strength and Conditioning Coaching Certification in 2016.

Ethan Pearson
Assistant Coach- 3rd Season
Alma Mater: Wichita State University

Ethan Pearson will be entering his 3rd season as the Pole Vault Coach for the Falcons. Pearson was a 17’ vaulter for the Shockers and is currently in Graduate School at Wichita State. Pearson has mentored 2 different freshman women to conference titles in the last 2 years with Naomi Bader winning the outdoor title in 2016 and Makayla Hollis winning the Indoor title in 2017. The Falcons will have their largest pole vault squad in recent history in 2018 with 5 women and 3 men competing in the event. 

Dylan Biedron
Assistant Coach- 3rd Season
Alma Mater: Friends University

Dylan Biedron, a 2016 Graduate of Friends University is now entering his 3rd season as an assistant coach with the Falcons. Biedron was a decathlete and jumps specialist for the Falcons and will continue to work with the Throws and Horizontal Jumps during the 2017-18 season. During 2017 Biedrons throws team placed 6 athletes in the top 8 of the shot put at the conference meet. In the horizontal jumps, Biedron coached Chelsea Baker to an All-American finish in the Long Jump Indoors and Outdoors, and helped freshman Lauren Doll place 4th in the country in the outdoor triple jump with a new school record of 38'11". Junior Abby Belt also qualified for nationals in the Hammer throw for the 2nd year in a row behind a new school record of 174' and a Top 10 toss in the country. Biedron recently completed his USATF Level 1 Coaching Education Course and is applying for grad school in the field of Sports Management/Administration.
