Wichita, Kan. - The Friends University women's soccer team displayed tremendous determination in their game vs. Central Christian College of McPherson on Tuesday evening at Adair-Austin stadium in their come from behind win over the Tigers.

After a scoreless first half Central Christian took the lead on a goal by Jessie Lutes at the 50:11 mark. This seemed to ignite the Falcons as Bella McCorvey scored on an assist from Savannah Struck eight minutes later to tie the game. Continuing their attack the Falcons took the lead on a goal by Savannah Struck, aided by a Megan Beals assist with nine minutes remaining in the contest to secure a 2-1 victory.

The win over Central Christian gives Friends University their first win of the season which evens their record at 1-1. Up next the Falcons will travel to Park University on Saturday, September 8 for a 12:00 p.m. contest.
