Wichita, Kan. - Abby Fawcett hit two free throws with less than one second remaining in the game to give the Falcons a victory over Kansas Wesleyan University 63-62. This win gives the Falcons at least a share of the KCAC Regular season title, the number one seed for the KCAC Tournament and an automatic bid to the NAIA national tournament in Soiux City, Iowa.

Friends would find themselves down 61-62 with 3.0 seconds on the clock and with an inbounds attempt underneath their own basket. The lady Falcons inbounded the ball but was knocked away and 1.7 seconds was put back on the clock. Fawcett received the inbounds play and was fouled by Kansas Wesleyan. Fawcett knocked down both free throws to win the game on Senior Night.

"I am overwhelmed with pride, said Head Coach RaeAnne Boothe. " I am extremely happy for our players, they deserve it. I am so proud with how hard they work, fight and play together. It is important we play well through the conference tournament to get the very best seed possible at the national tournament. To be thought of as truly a great team, winning both the league and tournament would help set us apart."

Fawcett finished the night with 18 points. Jessika Crews and Abril Marshall helped in the effort with 10 points each. The Falcons as a whole ended the game shooting 26-for-51 from field goal range for 51.0 percent shooting.
With one game left in the regular Season the Lady Falcons are currently in 1st place with a record of 15-2 in conference and 21-8 overall. Southwestern College is a close second at 14-3 in conference.
