Men's Soccer - Tue, Aug. 9, 2011

As Friends University gets prepared for the 2011-2012 school year, the soccer season is also right around the corner. On the men's team, players have been working hard all summer to improve even further on a successful 2010 season. The Falcons feel that they are in a position to be a strong contender for a conference championship.

Coaches from around the conference took part in the preseason coaches' poll on August 2nd, and the Friends men made a good showing, being selected in the top half of the KCAC. The team was selected to finish third, right behind Kansas Wesleyan and McPherson. After reaching the conference title match last year, the men know what it takes to compete and win in the very strong KCAC.

The men's soccer team opens the regular season at home against Columbia University on September 2nd at 7 PM. The team is ready to compete, and it should be an exciting season for Friends University soccer.
