Wichita, KS - With the 2010 Volleyball season right around the corner, the Friends Falcons are gearing up for what could be a great year.

After winning the conference tournament in 2009, the team is looking to push for even better results this season. With several returners, and a few newcomers in the mix, Friends will be expected to compete in the KCAC once again. Practices have been going on for a few weeks, and the Falcons are ready to get things started.

Head Coach Martin Ayin's team returns all but one starter from 2009, and experienced hitters also return. That team chemistry should make the Falcons tough to handle this season. Leadership will be provided from the team's seven seniors, who are ready to step into that pivotal role. Those seven seniors are Jessica Mullen, Tiffany Wolf, Chandra Slates, Addie Petersen, Rexanne Schilowsky, Kelly Mutina, and Crystal Foss. Coach Ayin expressed his excitement about the "maturity and depth on the team" this season, and he believes they have a very good chance to compete in a very tough KCAC.

With plenty of experience and talent on this team, Friends will be a force to be reckoned with in the conference. Coach Ayin and the team have worked very hard over the off-season and are ready to keep working towards great possibilities. The opportunities for the team are there for the taking, and Friends Falcons are prepared to have a historic season in 2010.
