Wichita, KS - The Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference held its fourth annual Sport Management Conference on Tuesday, August 10 in Salina. As a part of the conference, the preseason volleyball coaches' poll was taken. The Friends Falcons were picked to finish in second place, while receiving three first place votes. Tabor College was selected to finish first.

Head Friends Volleyball coach Martin Ayin on the KCAC, "I believe that the KCAC will be the strongest it's been in recent years, from top to bottom."

After winning the conference tournament last season, the team looks to repeat its success in 2010. Coach Ayin is ready for this season:

"I'm excited about the maturity and depth of our team this season. We lost only one starter from last year, and all of our hitters are returning. I feel that we are prepared to make a run at the conference championship."

"We are preaching consistency in practice and a killer instinct to finish every match. We must do these things in order to reach our goals and put ourselves in a position for a KCAC title."

The team will open its regulars season at the Columbia Tournament in Columbia, Missouri on September 3rd.
