Parkville, Mo. – Two unanswered goals in the second half by Isabel Sullivan snapped a 1-1 gridlock and pulled the Park University Pirates to a 3-1 win over the Friends University Women's Soccer Falcons last night (Sept. 6) at Julian Field in Parkville, Mo.

Sullivan's go-ahead score came in the 61st minute and just seven minutes after Abby Anderson (JR/Wichita, Kan.) tapped in a shot from six yards out off a free kick to pull the Falcons even.

Sullivan then provided an insurance goal at the 72:48 mark on a 22 yard shot to the left post.

Following a scoreless first half, the Pirates got on the board first when Sullivan assisted on a goal by Maddy Russell in the 48th minute of the contest.

The Falcons (1-2) were out-shot 17-9 overall and were led by Dalia Fernandez (SR/Wichita, Kan.)'s four shot attempts.

Emma Chatterton had a match-high five shots for the Pirates (1-2). Sullivan only recorded two shots, but both found the back of the net for Park.

Ashlee Richman (SO/Garden City, Kan.) stopped seven shots for Friends, while Alyssa Gregory recorded four saves for the Pirates.

The Falcons will now begin a four-game homestand, starting next Tuesday night (Sept. 12) vs. Sooner Athletic Conference member University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma at 6 pm.
