Friends University Falcon Tennis looks forward to a promising 2007 spring season. Though the Falcons’ number one player, Ryan Reed, will red shirt, the remainder of the team will be returning with the addition of the freshman Scott Matzen. Scott, a solid addition to the Falcon roster, placed as high as fourth in the State of Kansas. Also, after a one year absence, Erik Rasmussen will be rejoining the team. Both Erik and his brother Darrin advanced made impressive showings in several tournaments this fall.  Darrin looks to be the replacement for Reed at the number one spot this year although there will be many challenging him for that spot. Other encouraging performances from the fall include returning sophomore Danny Lepping’s advancement through the consolation bracket at the Bethany invitational and junior Son Nguyen’s win in the finals of his flight in the Wichita Tournament.
