Marion, Ind. - The 2012 NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Championship Meet got underway on Thursday, May 24th. The three day meet is being held on the campus of Indiana Wesleyan University located in Marion, Indiana. Three Falcons were in action on Day one.

Sophomore Lewis Taylor was the first Falcon to compete on the day in the 400 meter hurdle prelims. Taylor finished in 20th place crossing the line at 55.35. His time of 55.35 was not fast enough to advance to the finals.

Junior Michael Gurley competed in the 3,000 meter steeple chase prelims were he finished in 17th place. Gurley's time of 9:48.17 was not fast enough to advance to the finals.

Cecilia Burley was the last Falcon to run on Thursday competing in the 10,000 meter race. Burley crossed the line at 38:36.09 in 13th place.
