Wichita, Kan. - The NAIA has named 308 softball student athletes as 2012 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athletes. Four member of the Friends University women's softball team have received the honor. In order to be nominated, a student athlete must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status.

Junior Rebecca Bonola, 5th Year Senior Danielle Dorosh, Senior Nicole Summervill and Junior Hannah Shuck earned national academic honors for their efforts in the classroom.

The Friends University softball team finished the season with a record of 12-6 in conference and 31-18 overall.
